COMPLIANCE CONSULTANT/SENIOR COMPLIANCE CONSULTANT (REMOTE)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Decisely's Compliance Services team is responsible for delivering scalable, white-glove Benefits & HR compliance services to small businesses across all industries. The Compliance Consultant and Sr. Compliance Consultant roles are responsible for translating complex regulatory requirements into streamlined client service delivery workflows with strategic insights & recommendations. Both levels of this position require strong communication and technical expertise to guide both internal teams and external clients through compliance risks and requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide proactive Benefits & HR compliance advisory oversight across all Decisely clients.
- Partner with the Compliance Specialists to deliver revenue-generating compliance services to our clients, including:
- ACA employer mandate compliance tracking & annual Forms 1094/5-B and 1094/5C reporting
- PCORI annual tax filings
- Form 5500 reporting
- ERISA plan documentation (including Section 125 Premium Only Plans & Wrap Documents)
- Workplace Harassment & Violence Training programs
- ICHRA premium reimbursements
- I-9/E-Verify new hire eligibility tracking
- Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) services
- Serve as the compliance point-of-contact for Decisely's customers and our client-facing teams.
- Create Compliance toolkits, FAQs, and training materials for internal and client use
- Track legislative and regulatory developments and provide impact assessments.
- Support client audits or inquiries related to Benefits & HR compliance Issues.
Sr. Level-Additional Duties and Responsibilities (In addition to the overall essential duties above, the Senior Compliance Consultant role will take on additional responsibilities, including):
- Manage client escalations
- Oversee key accountants & partnerships
- Provide mentorship, training & coaching to junior team members
- Assist leadership with designing and tracking KPIs and OKRs for the Compliance Services Team
- Propose recommendations on enhancing or adding to Decisely's suite of Benefits & HR compliance services.
KEY COMPANCIES:
- Regulatory Expertise - Deep understanding of federal, state, and local compliance for employee benefits & HR
- Client Communication - Able to translate complex rules into client-friendly language.
- Presentation & Training - Comfortable educating clients and internal teams.
- Proactivity - Identifies emerging risks before they escalate.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (Required):
- 5+ years of experience in client account management, benefits implementation, or HR consulting- preferably within the health insurance or SaaS-based benefits technology space.
- Deep knowledge of ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other employer healthcare compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise in ICHRA plan mechanics, group health, and worksite/voluntary benefits.
- Proven experience leading client conversations and simplifying complex topics for HR teams.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, data analytics tools, CRM systems, and virtual communication platforms.
- Experience mentoring or informally leading others in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
- Enjoy navigating emerging product spaces and bringing structure to ambiguity.
- Lead with empathy and clarity—even in high-stakes, high-complexity client situations.
- Are energized by solving problems and building repeatable systems.
- Thrive in a collaborative, remote-first environment where initiative is rewarded.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and deliver outstanding client experiences.
- Mentor and support team members to drive client satisfaction and operational excellence.
PREFERRED:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, Life & Health license a plus.
- Insurtech, TPA, or SaaS-based benefits and/or HR consulting background preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus!
